DMCA / Copyright Policy

AppGild, operated by Meridian Data LLC ("AppGild," "we," "us"), respects the intellectual property rights of others and responds to valid notices of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (the "DMCA"), 17 U.S.C. Section 512. The marketplace hosts content provided by independent builders and users, including apps, listings, screenshots, and reviews. If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice as described below.
1. Reporting Claimed Copyright Infringement
To report material you believe is infringing, send a written notice to our Designated Agent (see Section 2) that includes all of the following, as required by 17 U.S.C. Section 512(c)(3):
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple works are covered by a single notice, a representative list of those works.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it, such as the URL of the page or the name of the app listing.
- Your contact information, including your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Please note that under 17 U.S.C. Section 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.

3. Counter-Notification
If your material was removed or disabled and you believe this was the result of a mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notification to our Designated Agent that includes all of the following, as required by 17 U.S.C. Section 512(g)(3):
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location at which it appeared before it was removed or disabled.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, mailing address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which AppGild may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or that person's agent.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, AppGild may restore the removed material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant first notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.
4. Repeat-Infringer Policy
AppGild will, in appropriate circumstances and at its sole discretion, terminate the accounts and remove the listings of users who are repeat infringers of copyright.
