Pricing FAQ
Is there a fee to list an app?
No. The initial submission of a new app is free. If an app is kicked back during review, each resubmission carries a $2.99 fee, which covers review cost and deters spam. Hard cap of 5 paid resubmissions per app (6 attempts total, including the free initial one). AppGild reserves the right to introduce a listing fee in the future with advance notice.
When do builders get paid?
Payouts are sent through Stripe Connect after a 16-day hold period. The hold exists to accommodate the buyer money-back guarantee and any potential disputes.
Do buyers pay any platform fees?
No. Buyers pay only the listed app price. AppGild's commission comes from the builder's side of the transaction.
What are the pricing options?
All apps on AppGild use subscription pricing: either monthly ($5/mo minimum) or annual ($29/yr minimum). Subscriptions ensure buyers get ongoing value, updates, and support while giving builders sustainable recurring revenue. The pricing model is clearly shown to buyers on every listing.
What happens if a buyer requests a refund?
If a buyer refunds within the 14-day window, that sale is reversed: you do not earn a payout on it and AppGild takes no commission. One thing to know: the payment processor's fee on the original transaction is not returned when a sale is refunded. For cross-border sales (where your balance settles in a currency other than USD), that unreturned fee is drawn from your balance and can slightly reduce a payout. This is one reason payouts have a 16-day hold.
Can I change my app's price after listing?
Price changes for future buyers can be requested through the builder dashboard. Existing purchases are not affected by price changes.
